Oil is not the only fluid your vehicle needs.
You know that you need to bring your vehicle in every 3 months or 5,000 km to get your oil changed. But do you know when you need to bring it in for a transmission fluid change, brake fluid change, cooling system flush or power steering fluid flush?
Oil is not the only fluid your vehicle needs to keep it running safely and reliably!
Brake Fluid Flush: Every 2 years or 20,000 miles
Your vehicle’s brake fluid system is designed to transfer the pressure at the brake pedal to hydraulic pressure, which is used to compress the brake components.
Cooling System Fluid Flush: Every 2 years or 20,000 miles
Your vehicle’s cooling system is designed to cool internal engine components, prevent engine coolant freeze, lubricate water pump seals and bearings, and prevent internal engine corrosion.
Power Steering Fluid Flush: Every 3 years or 20,000 miles
Your vehicle’s power steering system fluids are used to lubricate, cool and protect the parts they surround. A power steering service – or a fluid flush – removes harmful deposits and impurities while conditioning and re-vitalizing seals. If the power steering is making excessive noise or not working or intermittent a fluid flush could in fact prevent further damage and fix the problem because it will clean, condition and prepare the system for future rebuilding without more excessive wear causing complete failure needing a complete new power steering systemTransmission – One of the most frequently asked questions is, “When
Transmission Fluid Flush: Every 2 years or 20,000 miles
Your vehicle’s automatic transmission system is designed to transfer power from the engine to the wheels at a consistent level. Transmission fluid is subject to tremendous amounts of heat and wear and it fails over time as the viscosity changes. One of the most frequently asked questions is, “When should I service my transmission?” Since heat is the number one cause of failures in transmissions, we recommend transmission service every 30,000 miles. Manual transmissions can go a little further between services. If services have not been performed on a regular basis on high mileage vehicles, we advise owners to service their cars as soon as possible.
